Getting from Agistri to Spetses

If you are heading to Spetses from Agistri you are making your way to a car-free island further along the Saronic Gulf, with neoclassical mansions around the harbour, a strong nautical tradition and a relaxed waterfront atmosphere.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agistri to Spetses. The most practical approach is to take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and then board the Piraeus to Spetses ferry, which runs up to 10 daily crossings and takes around 1.5 to 3.5 hours. The total journey from Agistri takes around 3 to 5 hours depending on the vessel. Spetses is also connected to Aegina directly, so checking if a seasonal inter-Saronic connection is running can save the trip back to Piraeus.

Getting there by air

Spetses has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. The Saronic ferry via Piraeus is the only realistic option for this route.

Your best option

Take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus and board the Piraeus to Spetses ferry. Note that Spetses is car-free so if you are traveling with a vehicle you would need to leave it at Piraeus or at the mainland port of Kosta, from where a short local boat crosses to Spetses in around 10 minutes.
