Getting from Spetses to Antiparos

If you are heading to Antiparos from Spetses you are making your way from a car-free island in the Saronic Gulf to a small island just off the western coast of Paros in the Cyclades, on the opposite side of Attica. It has a Venetian kastro village, good beaches and an atmosphere that rewards those who stay overnight rather than visiting on a day trip from Paros.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Spetses to Antiparos. Antiparos is accessible only via Paros, either by a 7 minute local ferry from Pounta on the western coast of Paros running every 30 minutes in summer, or by passenger boat from Parikia taking around 30 minutes. Getting there means taking the Saronic ferry from Spetses to Piraeus, which runs up to 10 times daily and takes around 2 to 3.5 hours, and then boarding the Piraeus to Paros ferry before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta.

Getting there by air

Antiparos has no airport. The nearest airport is Paros, though no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. Spetses has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Taking the Saronic ferry from Spetses to Piraeus, boarding the Piraeus to Paros ferry and then crossing to Antiparos from Pounta gives a total journey time of around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the Saronic ferry from Spetses to Piraeus and board the Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta. The Pounta to Antiparos ferry runs every 30 minutes in summer and takes 7 minutes. Note that Spetses is car-free so if you are traveling with a car it would be at the mainland port of Kosta, from where you can drive to Piraeus and board the conventional Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta.
