Getting from Syros to Paros
If you are heading to Paros from Syros you are making your way from the capital of the Cyclades to the hub of the same island group, just a short distance to the south. It has one of the most beautiful small harbour villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Syros to Paros running several times daily in summer, taking around 1 to 1.5 hours. It is one of the most natural connections in the Cyclades and keeps the journey entirely within the island group without going through Athens or Piraeus. The service runs year-round with reduced frequency in winter. Note that Paros National Airport has no commercial scheduled flights operating in 2026.
Getting there by air
Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights in 2026. Syros has a small domestic airport with limited connections from Athens. The direct ferry from Syros to Paros is considerably more practical than flying for this short island hop within the same island group. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Take the direct ferry from Syros to Paros. It is the most natural and direct connection and keeps the journey entirely within the Cyclades. Check the schedule before traveling as departure times vary by season. Book ahead in July and August as Paros is one of the most popular islands in the Cyclades and accommodation fills up fast. If you are traveling with a car the conventional ferry takes your vehicle directly to Parikia port.
