Getting from Telendos to Kalymnos
If you are heading to Kalymnos from Telendos you are making your way from a tiny car-free island sitting just 800 metres off the western coast of Kalymnos to Kalymnos itself, one of the premier rock climbing destinations in Europe with a sponge diving tradition and a lively port at Pothia.
Take the ferry
There is a direct local boat from Telendos to Myrties on the western coast of Kalymnos running every 30 minutes throughout the day and taking around 5 minutes. It is one of the shortest and most frequent island connections in Greece and runs from early morning until late evening in summer. From Myrties you can take a taxi or bus to Kalymnos Town at Pothia, which takes around 20 to 30 minutes.
Getting there by air
Kalymnos has its own small airport with connections from Athens. Telendos has no airport. The direct local boat to Myrties is considerably more practical than flying for this five minute crossing.
