Getting from Telendos to Lipsi

If you are heading to Lipsi from Telendos you are making your way from a tiny car-free island off the western coast of Kalymnos in the Dodecanese to a small island in the northern part of the same group. It has a pretty harbour village, uncrowded beaches and an atmosphere of complete calm.

Take the ferry

There is a direct ferry connection from Telendos to Lipsi via the Dodecanese network. Getting there means taking the local boat from Telendos to Myrties on Kalymnos, which takes around 5 minutes, and then making your way to Kalymnos port at Pothia for the ferry north through Leros to Lipsi, which takes around 3 to 4 hours in total and runs several times a week. This keeps the journey entirely within the Dodecanese without going through Athens or Piraeus. Check the schedule carefully before booking as departure days vary by season.

Getting there by air

Lipsi has no airport. The nearest airport is Leros. Telendos has no airport. The nearest airports are Kalymnos and Kos. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
