Getting from Zakynthos to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Zakynthos you are making your way to the hub of the Cyclades, on the opposite side of Greece. It has one of the most beautiful small harbour villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Zakynthos to Paros. No Ionian island is connected by sea to any Aegean island. Getting there by sea means taking the ferry from Zakynthos to Kyllini and then travelling by road to Piraeus for the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs up to 6 daily departures in summer and takes around 3 to 5 hours. The total journey takes around 9 to 10 hours.

Getting there by air

Both Zakynthos and Paros have airports. Flying from Zakynthos to Athens and then Athens to Paros gives a total journey time of around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Fly via Athens. It is the most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, take the ferry from Zakynthos to Kyllini and drive to Piraeus for the ferry to Paros.
