Itinerary

Your experience begins with a warm welcome at Lefkada Micro Farm, where you'll enjoy a coffee or tea before lighting the traditional wood-fired oven and preparing the dough. Under the guidance of your hosts, you'll learn the techniques of kneading and stretching rustic Greek phyllo by hand.

Next, you'll tour the organic farm, harvesting seasonal vegetables and herbs while learning about sustainable farming and local ingredients. Back in the open-air kitchen, you'll prepare four classic recipes:

  • Wild greens with feta cheese

  • Goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and oregano

  • Pumpkin with walnuts, cinnamon, and raisins

  • Baklava with honey, cinnamon, and walnuts

While the pies bake in the wood-fired oven, you'll relax with fellow participants before gathering around the farm's communal table to enjoy the freshly prepared meal together.

Who is this experience best for

• Food lovers interested in authentic Greek cuisine.
• Travelers seeking a genuine farm-to-table experience.
• Families looking for an interactive activity.
• Couples wanting a unique cultural experience.
• Home cooks eager to learn traditional Greek recipes.

Insider notes

Unlike many cooking classes that focus solely on preparing food, this workshop immerses you in the entire farm-to-table process, from harvesting ingredients to baking in a traditional wood-fired oven. The recipes come from the hosts' own family traditions, preserving the rustic style of phyllo pies found in the Greek countryside.

The class is intentionally limited to small groups (up to 10 participants), creating a relaxed atmosphere where everyone receives personal guidance. It's also an excellent alternative to a beach day, offering visitors the opportunity to experience Lefkada's rural landscape, traditional hospitality, and culinary heritage.
