Jennifer Aniston's next holiday movie keeps adding big names. Samara Weaving has joined Naughty, the Universal Christmas comedy Olivia Wilde is directing, The Hollywood Reporter revealed on October 21.

The premise is peak Christmas chaos. Aniston plays Mallory, a mom whose only hope of winning custody of her son from her gaslighting ex is to find Santa Claus, played by Peter Dinklage, and convince him to testify at her divorce hearing, according to Deadline. The Hollywood Reporter says sources have described the project as "Bridesmaids in the North Pole." Honestly, sold.

Weaving will play the mistress of Mallory's ex, who is played by Ike Barinholtz. Regina Hall and Chase Sui Wonders play Mallory's best friends, per The Hollywood Reporter. Weaving is having a huge year too: she had three films out in 2026 and was cast as Emma Frost in Marvel's new X-Men movie.

The ensemble has come together fast. Deadline first reported in July that Aniston and Dinklage would star, then broke the news of Hall's casting on October 7 and Barinholtz's on October 8.

Behind the camera, Jimmy Warden wrote the script on spec, and LuckyChap, the production company run by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Milan Popelka, is producing alongside Wilde and Warden. It is Wilde's follow-up to The Invite, the relationship comedy A24 released this summer.

Fans will need a little patience. Universal has set the film for theaters on November 5, 2027, so this one is officially next year's Christmas plan.

And yes, there is a Greek connection. Aniston's father, the late actor John Aniston, was born Yannis Anastassakis in the village of Pervolakia in Chania, on Crete, and her partner Jim Curtis recently opened up about his own Greek roots in Athens and Lemnos.
