About The Event
For the first time in more than a decade, a Greek festival returns to the Gold Coast. The inaugural Gold Coast Greek Festival takes over the parklands of HOTA, Home of the Arts, 135 Bundall Road, Surfers Paradise, on Saturday 31 October (12 pm to 10 pm) and Sunday 1 November 2026 (11 am to 4 pm). Conceived by George Mastrocostas, Honorary Consul-General of Greece in Queensland, it brings Hellenic community organisations from across the state together for family recipes, souvlaki, gyros, loukoumades and baklava, live bouzouki and traditional dancing, cooking demonstrations, Zorba and dance workshops, plate smashing, backgammon and a Saturday night fireworks finale over Evandale Lake. Organisers expect around 10,000 visitors, and proceeds support Greek communities across Queensland.
