ΠΕΤΡΟΣ ΚΛΑΜΠΑΝΗΣ: «96» - Thessaloniki

Double bassist and composer Petros Klampanis presents '96 at Thessaloniki Concert Hall, in the Aimilios Riadis Hall (M2), on Friday 4 December 2026 at 8:30 PM, as part of Jazz at the Megaron. '96 is a contemporary work centred on the bass and inspired by the afterimage, the image that stays in the eye after the original stimulus is gone, and by the idea that we remember the trace an experience leaves rather than the event itself. The compositions move between acoustic and contemporary sound, with an emphasis on space, silence and detail. Klampanis is joined by pianist Kristjan Randalu and drummer Ziv Ravitz, and after more than twenty years working in Europe and the United States he presents '96 as a new chapter in his career, a concert in which sound, light and image form one shared space.
