About The Event
Estudiantina of Melbourne marks the end of its 2026 season with a special concert honouring two of rebetiko's greatest icons, Vassilis Tsitsanis and Sotiria Bellou, on Friday, December 4, 2026 at the Brunswick Ballroom. Through live performance and storytelling, the ensemble and guests bring to life the songs of love, loss, resilience and hope that helped define the sound of modern Greece. The evening also celebrates a year in which the ensemble performed across Australia, released new music and introduced new audiences to Smyrneika and rebetiko.
