Faos Eyewear

Faos takes its name from φάος, the Ancient Greek word for light, and it is light, specifically the clear, shifting light of Greece, that shapes everything we make. Our sunglasses are designed in Greece and crafted in Italy and France, pairing fine Italian acetate frames with Zeiss lenses for clarity you can feel from the first wear.

Each collection draws on Aegean sensibility: the texture of whitewashed stone, the edge of a coastline at midday, the calm of a late-afternoon street. Our acetate models are named after Greek islands, and our metal frames after the Bronze Age world. The result is eyewear that is refined without being loud, meant for everyday life as much as for summer.

Faos was founded by George Avramis, part of a second-generation family optical business in Athens, bringing decades of optical expertise to a design-led brand.
