About Acroterra Rosa Luxury Suites & Spa
Acroterra Rosa Luxury Suites & Spa is a five-star boutique hotel of 28 rooms in Akrotiri, at the southern end of Santorini, set high above the caldera. The suites are built in Cycladic style and most look west over the caldera and the Aegean toward the sunset.
The hotel has an infinity pool with caldera views, poolside bars, the Crocus restaurant, a spa with face and body treatments and a small gym. Every room has king-size bedding and opens to a balcony or terrace, with air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite TV, a minibar, a safe, coffee and tea facilities, bathrobes and free wifi.
Rooms and suites
The Junior Suite is about 30 sq m for two guests, on the ground or upper floor, with a Simmons king-size bed, a shower and a terrace or balcony looking over the garden, Akrotiri village or the old castle. The Superior Suite Caldera View is about 40 sq m for up to three guests, with a living area and a terrace facing the caldera; one version adds an indoor jacuzzi. The Deluxe Suite Caldera View with Hot Tub is the same size and adds an outdoor hot tub on the terrace.
Couples can choose the Honeymoon Suite Caldera View with Plunge Pool, about 40 sq m on the upper floor, with a rain shower and a private plunge pool on the veranda, or the larger 65 sq m version with an indoor jacuzzi as well. The Loft Suite, about 45 sq m for up to five guests, spreads over two open-plan levels, with the living room and bathroom below and the bed upstairs facing the caldera; it comes with a plunge pool or a hot tub on the balcony. Families or friends can book the Two-Bedroom Suite, two connecting suites of about 40 sq m each for up to six guests, with one outdoor hot tub.
Pool and breakfast
The outdoor infinity pool looks over the caldera and bars beside it serve cocktails and light meals. The spa offers face and body treatments, and there is a gym.
Breakfast is served every day with champagne and local products. The Crocus restaurant serves Mediterranean fusion cuisine on a terrace facing the Aegean, with dinner under the stars, and guests can join wine tastings in the hotel's stone cellar.
Location and getting around
Acroterra Rosa is about 0.2 km from the centre of Akrotiri village, on the road toward the Akrotiri Lighthouse. The prehistoric site of Ancient Akrotiri is about 1 km away. Red Beach is about 1.3 km away and White Beach about 2.1 km.
Athinios ferry port is about 4 km away and Santorini Airport about 8.5 km. The hotel's directions from both are simple: follow the signs to Akrotiri, then to Faros (the lighthouse). The capital, Fira, is about 12 km away. An airport shuttle is available, and there is free private parking on site.
