About Radisson Blu Park Hotel, Athens

Radisson Blu Park Hotel stands at 10 Alexandras Avenue, right across the street from Pedion tou Areos, one of the largest parks in Greece, with a network of strolling and jogging paths. The National Archaeological Museum is a short stroll away, and Victoria metro station is close by for trips into the historic centre. The hotel's own underground car park makes it a practical base if you are driving.

Rooms and suites

Standard Rooms (about 20 sq m) sleep two in twin, king or queen beds and face the interior, with the bathroom set behind a frosted glass door. Superior Rooms (about 25 sq m) look onto a calm street, take a third guest and add a Smart TV and a spacious work desk. Premium Rooms (about 27 sq m) come with a Nespresso machine and views over the city or Pedion tou Areos, and the Premium Acropolis View rooms add a welcome gift, so they suit couples who want that view from bed.

Family Rooms (about 40 sq m) are made for two adults and two children, with a king bedroom and a sofa bed in a separate living area plus two TVs. Suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, a king bed, an office and a living room with a 55 inch Smart TV, facing the park or the city, while the Suite Acropolis View (about 40 sq m) frames the Acropolis instead. At the top of the range, the Presidential Suite (about 60 sq m) on the 7th floor has a separate living area and a terrace with outdoor furniture over the city and the park.

Rooftop pool and breakfast

The rooftop pool has 360 degree views over Athens, with loungers and a pool restaurant bar serving food and drinks through the day. Check current pool opening times with the hotel. On the 9th floor, St' Astra serves Greek and Mediterranean dishes and craft cocktails with views of the Acropolis, open daily from 10am to 6:30pm. In the evening, 10 Urban Roof serves creative Greek cooking from 7pm to midnight, and the Oak Room Café is the place for coffee and cake.

Breakfast is Radisson's signature buffet at Gallo Nero, with vegetarian and gluten-free options and a healthy station with nuts and fruit. It runs from 7am to 10:30am Monday to Friday and from 7:30am to 11am at weekends. The fitness centre has a sauna and a hammam, and massages and face and body treatments can be booked.

Location and getting around

On foot, the National Archaeological Museum is about 330 m (4 minutes) and Victoria metro station about 430 m (6 minutes), two stops on line 1 from Omonia. Omonia station is about 1.2 km (16 minutes) and Larissa railway station about 1.3 km (17 minutes). Syntagma Square is about 2.2 km (30 minutes) and Plaka about 2.5 km (33 minutes), so most guests take the metro or a taxi to the old town. The drive to Athens International Airport takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic. From Larissa station, the B5 bus stops at Pedion Areos, about 40 m from the hotel.
