About The Pinnacle Athens
The Pinnacle Athens is at 75 Aiolou and Evripidou in the Commercial Triangle of central Athens. Its late 1970s building, designed by the architect Varagis in the style of Athenian Modernism, has a facade covered in more than 3,500 metal tiles. Inside, the style is eclectic: bespoke furniture, velvet curtains, wooden floors, vintage wallpapers and English teapots, porcelain and paintings picked from antique shops and bazaars. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the city. The concierge can arrange airport, port and train station transfers, a personal driver, cruises and excursions, car and bike rental, laundry and restaurant or theatre bookings.
Rooms and suites
Every room has a walk-in shower with hydromassage, soundproof windows that open, bath amenities with slippers and a hair dryer, and daily housekeeping, and baby cots are available on request. The Classic Double Room (20 sq m) has a king bed and suits a couple on a short city break.
The suites are set up like small apartments, each with a living room, a decorative fireplace, an office or boudoir and a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, hobs, coffee maker and cookware, plus blackout curtains. The Superior Suite (30 sq m) has one king bedroom and a double sofa bed, so it works for a couple or a family of up to four. The Family Suite (45 sq m) has two king bedrooms, two bathrooms and a single sofa bed for up to five guests. The Deluxe Suite (45 sq m) adds a dining area and sleeps up to six, as does The Penthouse (60 sq m), which has a full kitchen, two king bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double sofa bed, for two couples or a larger family.
Roof garden and breakfast
The Roof Garden sits on top of the building with a view of the Acropolis, Plaka, the National Observatory and Lycabettus Hill. Breakfast is served up here, looking out at the Parthenon and the domes of old Athenian churches, and there are sunbeds for the afternoon. In the evening it is a place for a glass of wine while the sun sets and the lights of Plaka come on below the Acropolis. The Roof Garden Restaurant serves meals up here too.
Complimentary coffee and tea are served in the lounge from 1pm to 3pm, and in-room spa treatments and a personal trainer can be booked through the concierge.
