Astypalaia isn't the cheapest island in the region, running a step above places like Anafi or Sikinos, but it suits budget-conscious travelers wanting a real taste of Cycladic-style scenery without Santorini or Mykonos-level spending, and choosing Livadi over Chora makes the clearest difference in keeping costs down.
