Where Should I Stay on Antiparos?

Antiparos splits mainly between the main village and the quieter south, and the choice comes down to walkability versus seclusion.

Antiparos's Chora, the island's only real village and port, holds most of the hotels, restaurants, and evening life, with beaches like Psaraliki and Agios Spiridonas within walking distance. It suits most first-time visitors and anyone without a car, since nearly everything on the island's northern half sits close enough to reach on foot.

Agios Georgios, on the southern coast about ten kilometers from Chora, gives a quieter alternative with views across to the uninhabited island of Despotiko, a handful of tavernas, and boutique hotels rather than a concentration of shops and bars. It suits couples or families wanting a calmer, more secluded stay, though a car or scooter becomes useful for reaching Chora when needed.

The Soros and Livadia area, closer to Chora but still beach-focused, gives a mix of the two, with sandy beaches quiet enough in the evening that the settlement empties out once the day's swimmers head home.

Once a base is decided, hotels and places to stay on Antiparos span Chora, Agios Georgios, and the beach areas in between, so the choice comes down to how central or how secluded the stay should be.

Antiparos connects to Paros by a short ferry crossing of about ten minutes, and it's worth taking a moment to check ferry schedules and book tickets if arriving during peak season, since crossings run frequently but fill up in July and August. Chora suits most first-time visitors, Agios Georgios suits those wanting quiet and views toward Despotiko, and the Soros and Livadia area suits anyone prioritizing beach time close to the center.
