Where Should I Stay on Arki?

Arki keeps the decision about as simple as it gets, since the island's only settlement is also its only real place to stay.

Arki's single village, clustered around the harbor, holds a handful of rooms and small guesthouses, most of them run directly by local families rather than listed on major booking platforms. Staying here puts the island's two tavernas, its small mini market, and the water within a short walk, and since the entire road network runs under three kilometers, there's no real case for choosing one part of the village over another.

Tiganakia Beach, at the island's southern end where the road ends, sits close enough to reach on foot from the village, so anyone wanting to be nearer the water still stays in the same small settlement rather than a separate area.

Given how limited accommodation is, reaching out ahead of a visit matters more than picking between neighborhoods, and rooms fill up quickly during the busiest weeks of summer despite the island's small size keeping demand modest overall.

Once a stay is arranged, hotels and places to stay on Arki cover what the village has to offer, and booking early gives the best chance at securing a room close to the harbor.

Arki has no airport, and most travelers connect through Patmos or Lipsi by a short ferry crossing, so it's worth taking time to check ferry schedules and book tickets ahead of a visit, since sailings run only a few times a week. The village suits every visitor, since it's the island's only real option, and that simplicity is part of what makes Arki worth the trip.
