Where Should I Stay on Lipsi?

Lipsi keeps the decision fairly simple, since the island holds one real town, and nearly every stay sits in or near it.

Lipsi's port and Chora, effectively the same walkable settlement, hold the widest range of accommodation, with hotels and studios lining the waterfront promenade between the marina and the village center. It suits nearly every visitor, since the harbor's tavernas, small shops, and the island's only real nightlife all sit within a few minutes' walk.

Properties closer to Lientou Beach, a short walk from the port, give a bit more distance from the harbor while still keeping the village's restaurants within easy reach, and it's a strong choice for anyone wanting to wake up nearer the water.

A handful of stays scattered toward Kambos and other beaches further from the center give more seclusion, though they trade some convenience for quiet, and reaching the village for dinner usually means a short walk or a local taxi.

Since Lipsi's tourism infrastructure stays deliberately modest, expect simple, comfortable rooms and studios rather than large resorts, and booking ahead matters for July and August given how few properties the island actually has.

Once a base is decided, hotels and places to stay on Lipsi cover the port, Lientou, and the quieter beaches further out, so the choice comes down to how close to the harbor's tavernas the stay should be.

Lipsi has no airport, and most travelers connect through Leros or Patmos by ferry, so it's worth taking time to check ferry schedules and book tickets ahead of a summer visit. The port and Chora suit nearly every traveler, and the beaches further out suit anyone wanting more quiet than the village center offers.
