Getting from Agathonisi to Chania

Chania has an international airport with connections from Athens. Taking the local ferry from Agathonisi to Leros or Samos, flying to Athens and then Athens to Chania, gives a total journey time of around 5 to 6 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Take the local ferry from Agathonisi to Leros or Samos and fly to Chania via Athens. It is the most practical approach. If you are traveling with a car, fly to Athens and take the overnight Piraeus to Chania ferry, which departs in the evening, takes around 8 to 9 hours and arrives in the morning with your vehicle ready to go.
