Getting from Agathonisi to Fournoi
If you are heading to Fournoi from Agathonisi you are making your way to a cluster of small fishing islands between Ikaria and Samos in the eastern Aegean. It has excellent seafood, quiet beaches and almost no tourist infrastructure.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Agathonisi to Fournoi. The most practical approach is to take the direct ferry from Agathonisi to Samos, which takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes and runs 3 times a week, and then connect to Fournoi from Samos by local ferry, which takes around 1 hour. This keeps the journey within the eastern Aegean network without going through Athens.
Getting there by air
Fournoi has no airport. The nearest airports are Samos and Ikaria. Flying from Agathonisi means taking the ferry to Samos first in any case, making the ferry connection the most practical approach for this route.
Your best option
Take the ferry from Agathonisi to Samos and then the local ferry across to Fournoi. It is the most practical approach and avoids going through Athens entirely. Give yourself at least two nights on Fournoi and come prepared as facilities on the island are limited.
