Getting from Agistri to Kylini

If you are heading to Kylini from Agistri you are making your way from a small pine-covered island in the Saronic Gulf to a port town on the northwestern Peloponnese coast, with a long sandy beach and the medieval castle of Chlemoutsi nearby, one of the best preserved Frankish fortifications in Greece.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agistri to Kylini. Getting there means taking the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and then driving west to Kylini, which takes around 3 to 3.5 hours from Athens via the E65 motorway and Patras.

Getting there by air

Kylini has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Taking the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus and then driving to Kylini gives a total journey time of around 4 to 5 hours. Flying is not a practical option for this route.

Your best option

Take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus and drive west to Kylini. The drive from Athens via the E65 motorway through Corinth and Patras takes around 3 to 3.5 hours and is straightforward. If you are traveling with a car, the ferry from Agistri already puts you at Piraeus with your vehicle, then drive west to Kylini via Patras.
