Getting from Amorgos to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Amorgos you are making your way from the most eastern of the Cyclades to the hub of the group, a short hop to the west. It has one of the most beautiful small harbour villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

Take the ferry

There is a direct ferry from Amorgos to Paros running several times a week in summer, with both the Express Skopelitis and the Blue Star conventional ferry serving the route. The Express Skopelitis takes around 3 to 4 hours from Katapola and the Blue Star takes around 2 to 3 hours. It is one of the most natural connections from Amorgos and keeps the journey entirely within the Cyclades network.

Getting there by air

Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights operate there as of 2026. Amorgos has no airport either. The ferry is the only realistic option and is considerably more practical given the direct sea connection between the two islands.

Your best option

Take the direct ferry from Amorgos to Paros. It is the most natural and enjoyable connection and delivers you directly to Parikia port in the centre of the island. Book ahead in July and August as this is one of the most popular routes in the Cyclades. If you are traveling with a car, the Blue Star conventional ferry takes your vehicle directly to the island.
