Getting from Antipaxos to Corfu

If you are heading to Corfu from Antipaxos you are making one of the most natural connections from the island, to the closest major island just to the north. Corfu has a UNESCO World Heritage Site town, a lush green coastline and some of the most sophisticated cuisine in the Ionian islands.

Take the ferry

The most practical approach is to take the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Gaios on Paxos, which takes around 15 to 20 minutes, and then board the ferry from Paxos to Corfu, which takes around 1 hour 30 minutes and runs several times daily in summer. This delivers you directly to Corfu without going through the mainland at all. Note that the Paxos to Corfu ferry is a passenger only service and does not carry vehicles.

Getting there by air

Corfu has an international airport with daily connections from Athens and seasonal connections from Thessaloniki. Antipaxos has no airport either. The ferry via Paxos is considerably more practical than flying for this short Ionian connection.

Your best option

Take the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos and board the ferry from Paxos to Corfu. It is the most natural and effortless connection and keeps the journey entirely within the Ionian islands. If you are traveling with a car, the Paxos to Corfu ferry does not carry vehicles so you would need to take the car ferry from Igoumenitsa to Corfu instead, which takes around 1 hour 30 minutes with multiple daily crossings.
