Getting from Arki to Antiparos

If you are heading to Antiparos from Arki you are making your way from one of the smallest inhabited islands in the Dodecanese to a small island in the Cyclades, just off the western coast of Paros, on the opposite side of the Aegean. It has a Venetian kastro village, good beaches and an atmosphere that rewards those who stay overnight rather than visiting on a day trip from Paros.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Arki to Antiparos. Antiparos is accessible only via Paros, either by a 7 minute local ferry from Pounta on the western coast of Paros running every 30 minutes in summer, or by passenger boat from Parikia taking around 30 minutes. Getting there means taking the ferry from Arki to Leros, flying to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs multiple times daily in summer, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta.

Getting there by air

Antiparos has no airport. The nearest airport is Paros, though no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. Arki has no airport either. Taking the local ferry from Arki to Leros, flying to Athens and then taking the ferry from Piraeus to Paros, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta, gives a total journey time of around 7 to 8 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the local ferry from Arki to Leros, fly to Athens and take the Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta. The Pounta to Antiparos ferry runs every 30 minutes in summer and takes 7 minutes. Check the ferry schedule from Arki carefully before booking your flights as services run only a limited number of times per week. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle to Paros and you can drive across to Antiparos from Pounta.
