Getting from Arki to Pserimos

If you are heading to Pserimos from Arki you are making your way from one of the smallest inhabited islands in the Dodecanese to another tiny island in the same group, wedged between Kos and Kalymnos. It has a single sandy beach, a handful of tavernas and accommodation that makes it worth staying overnight rather than just passing through on a day trip.

Take the ferry

There is a seasonal direct ferry from Arki to Kalymnos running via the Dodekanisos Seaways network, taking around 4 to 5 hours with stops along the way. From Kalymnos, the local boat to Pserimos takes around 30 to 45 minutes. This keeps the journey entirely within the Dodecanese and avoids Athens entirely. Alternatively, continue south on the Dodekanisos Seaways ferry to Kos and take the local boat to Pserimos from there.

Getting there by air

Pserimos has no airport. The nearest airports are Kos and Kalymnos. Arki has no airport either. Taking the local ferry from Arki south to Kalymnos via Dodekanisos Seaways and then the local boat to Pserimos keeps the journey entirely within the Dodecanese and avoids Athens entirely. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the Dodekanisos Seaways ferry south from Arki to Kalymnos and then take the local boat across to Pserimos. It keeps the journey entirely within the Dodecanese and avoids Athens entirely. Check local schedules on arrival as the Pserimos service is not bookable online in advance. Check the ferry schedule from Arki carefully before planning as services run only a limited number of times per week.
