Getting from Dokos to Antiparos
If you are heading to Antiparos from Dokos you are making your way from an uninhabited rocky island in the Saronic Gulf to a small island just off the western coast of Paros in the Cyclades, on the opposite side of Greece. It has a Venetian kastro village, good beaches and an atmosphere that rewards those who stay overnight rather than visiting on a day trip from Paros.
Take the ferry
There are no scheduled ferries from Dokos. Dokos has no ferry service and is accessible only by water taxi from Hydra, Spetses or Ermioni, with the crossing from Hydra taking around 30 minutes. Antiparos is accessible only via Paros, either by a 7 minute local ferry from Pounta on the western coast of Paros running every 30 minutes in summer, or by passenger boat from Parikia taking around 30 minutes. Getting there means arranging a water taxi from Dokos to Hydra, taking the Saronic ferry from Hydra to Piraeus, which takes around 1 hour 5 minutes to 2 hours, and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs multiple times daily in summer, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta.
Getting there by air
Antiparos has no airport. The nearest airport is Paros, though no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. Dokos has no airport. Taking the water taxi from Dokos to Hydra, the Saronic ferry to Piraeus and then taking the ferry from Piraeus to Paros, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta, gives a total journey time of around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Arrange a water taxi from Dokos to Hydra before leaving the island, take the Saronic ferry to Piraeus and board the Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta. The Pounta to Antiparos ferry runs every 30 minutes in summer and takes 7 minutes. Pre-arrange your water taxi departure as you cannot hail a boat once you are on Dokos.
