Getting from Donoussa to Evia

Evia has no commercial airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Donoussa has no airport. The nearest airport is Naxos. Taking the ferry from Donoussa to Piraeus and then traveling to Evia by road or short ferry gives a total journey time of around 9 to 11 hours depending on which part of the island you are heading to. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Take the ferry from Donoussa to Piraeus and drive or take the bus across the bridge to Halkida. If you are heading to the southern coast, the ferry from Rafina to Marmari is a convenient connection close to Athens Airport. Check the Donoussa to Piraeus departure days before planning as the service runs a limited number of times per week. If you are traveling with a car, take the ferry from Donoussa to Piraeus and drive to whichever part of Evia suits your plans.
