Getting from Thassos to Antiparos
If you are heading to Antiparos from Thassos you are making your way from the northernmost island in Greece to a small island just off the western coast of Paros in the Cyclades, on the opposite side of the country. It has a Venetian kastro village, good beaches and an atmosphere that rewards those who stay overnight rather than visiting on a day trip from Paros.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Thassos to Antiparos. Antiparos is accessible only via Paros, either by a 7 minute local ferry from Pounta on the western coast of Paros running every 30 minutes in summer, or by passenger boat from Parikia taking around 30 minutes. Getting there means taking the ferry from Thassos to Kavala, flying from Kavala to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs multiple times daily in summer, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta.
Getting there by air
Antiparos has no airport. The nearest airport is Paros, though no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. Thassos has no airport. The nearest airport is Kavala. Taking the ferry from Thassos to Kavala, flying from Kavala to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta gives a total journey time of around 7 to 8 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Take the ferry from Thassos to Kavala and fly from Kavala to Athens, then take the Piraeus to Paros ferry and cross to Antiparos from Pounta. The Pounta to Antiparos ferry runs every 30 minutes in summer and takes 7 minutes. If you are traveling with a car, take the ferry from Thassos to Kavala and drive to Piraeus for the conventional Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta.
