Getting from Tinos to Pserimos

If you are heading to Pserimos from Tinos you are making your way from the most venerated pilgrimage island in the Cyclades to a tiny island wedged between Kos and Kalymnos in the Dodecanese group, on the opposite side of the Aegean. It has a single sandy beach, a handful of tavernas and accommodation that makes it worth staying overnight rather than just passing through on a day trip.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Tinos to Pserimos. Pserimos is accessible only by local boat from Kalymnos, taking around 30 to 45 minutes. Getting there means taking the short ferry from Tinos to Mykonos and flying from Mykonos to Athens and then Athens to Kos or Kalymnos, followed by the local boat across to Pserimos. Alternatively take the weekly direct Blue Star ferry from Tinos to Kalymnos, which takes around 6 hours, and then take the local boat across to Pserimos.

Getting there by air

Pserimos has no airport. The nearest airports are Kos and Kalymnos. Tinos has no airport. The nearest airport is Mykonos. Taking the short ferry from Tinos to Mykonos, flying from Mykonos to Athens and then Athens to Kos, followed by the local boat to Pserimos, gives a total journey time of around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the short ferry from Tinos to Mykonos and fly from Mykonos to Athens, then fly from Athens to Kos or Kalymnos and take the local boat across to Pserimos. Check local schedules on arrival as the Pserimos service is not bookable online in advance. If you want to stay overnight rather than day trip, the local ferry from Kalymnos is the more reliable connection.
