About the Beach
Agios Georgios Dysalonas Beach is one of the most dramatic and spectacular coves on the island of Symi, accessible only by boat. It features a tiny pebbly shore and intense turquoise water, dominated by a massive vertical rock wall that reaches 300 meters in height. The beach is entirely unorganized and maintains a raw, majestic character that reflects the untamed nature of the Dodecanese. The water is deep and fresh, offering a powerful swimming experience in a setting of high rocks and total silence. It is a destination for nature lovers and adventurers who want to see one of the most iconic natural wonders of the island. There are no facilities or shade, so you must be prepared with all your own supplies. The contrast between the grey stone and the electric blue sea is visually stunning. It is a spot for photography and for those who want to find a private and silent corner. The atmosphere is awe-inspiring and reflects the natural power.
