About the Beach
Antipaxos West Cove Beach refers to the series of rugged and largely inaccessible bays located on the islands western coast which faces the open Ionian Sea. The landscape is exceptionally dramatic and vertical featuring massive limestone cliffs that plunge directly into the deep water and several impressive sea caves carved by the powerful waves. There is no commercial organization or land access to these coves making them entirely primitive and reachable only by private boat or organized sea tours. The surrounding environment is stark and powerful with the white rock faces and the absence of vegetation highlighting the raw geological forces that have shaped the islands wild western side.
