About the Beach

Fanari is a very charming and well-protected sandy beach located near the town of Moudros on the eastern side of Lemnos. It features soft golden sand and very clear, calm water that is a brilliant shade of turquoise. The beach is well-organized with a variety of sunbeds, beach bars, and tavernas, making it a very comfortable and social spot for a full day of sun. The bay is relatively small and intimate, providing a sense of safety and enclosure that is very restorative for families. The snorkeling here is fantastic, as the water is very clear and the seabed is easy to explore. It is a very consistent favorite for locals, which is a testament to its high quality and welcoming atmosphere. The entry into the water is smooth and sandy, making it one of the most comfortable swimming spots on the island. The vibe is quintessentially Lemnian.
