About the Beach
Glyfa Beach is a small and very peaceful sandy cove on the southeastern coast of Paros, located near the village of Drios and offering a quiet alternative to the busier southern resorts. It features fine golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise water, surrounded by a rugged and dry landscape that provides a sense of peace and privacy. The beach is largely unorganized and maintains a raw, natural character, with several large tamarisk trees providing the only source of natural shade along the back of the shore. It is a destination for those who want a simple and relaxed swim in a beautiful setting that feels largely untouched by mass tourism. The water is consistently calm and the entry is very easy and sandy for all swimmers, providing a safe and inviting environment for a long soak in the sun. Access is via a narrow road that keeps the crowds away even during the peak summer months. It is a spot where you can enjoy the sun and the maritime life in total freedom away from the commercial beach clubs. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the slow rhythm of the Cyclades. You should bring your own supplies for the day as facilities are limited.
