About the Beach

Korfos is a beach located on the neck of the western peninsula of Mykonos. It is the primary destination for kitesurfing because of its orientation to the northern winds. The shore is a mix of sand and pebbles and the water is often choppy. It is not a place for those looking for a quiet swim, but it is a hub for athletes. There are several schools for kitesurfing and windsurfing in the area. The beach is unorganized and has a functional character focused on sports. The water is clean and the bay is wide, providing plenty of room for the kites. It is a spot where you can watch the colorful sails move across the sky. The atmosphere is active and energetic. It is a part of the coast that is very different from the resort beaches nearby. Many people come here specifically for the wind conditions.
