About the Beach
Voutakos Beach is a charming and remarkably tranquil coastal sanctuary on the southwestern coast of Paros, located near the village of Alyki and offering a peaceful alternative to the busier and more wind-exposed beaches of the eastern shore. It features a shore of fine golden sand and small pebbles with exceptionally clear turquoise water that remains remarkably calm because the bay is well-sheltered from the strong northern meltemi winds. The beach is entirely unorganized and maintains a quiet, domestic character, surrounded by low rocky hills and a few elegant summer villas that create a quintessential Cycladic atmosphere for visitors who value privacy. Numerous large trees provide a fresh and natural source of shade along the back of the sand, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment for a long afternoon soak in the sun away from the modern beach clubs. The water is shallow near the shore and the entry is very easy for all swimmers, making it a safe and inviting spot for a day by the sea in one of the island's most authentic and well-maintained locations.
