About Electra Metropolis Athens
Electra Metropolis sits at the start of Mitropoleos Street, a few minutes from Syntagma Square and next to Ermou, the city's main shopping street. Its building, designed by architect Patroclos Karantinos, keeps remains of Themistocles' Wall in its foundations and the 16th-century chapel of Agia Dynami built into its structure. Inside, look out for the silver bees installation by Greek artist Alekos Fasianos. There is a 24-hour front desk and concierge, 24-hour room service with a night menu after midnight, turndown service and babysitting on request.

All rooms have soundproofing, double glazing, individual climate control, a smart TV, a Nespresso machine and a marble bathroom. Solo travellers can take a Standard Room (18 sq m, one adult). Art Internal Rooms (21 sq m) look onto the Fasianos artwork, and Classic Rooms are 25 sq m. Superior Rooms, at 28 to 32 sq m, sleep up to three adults and suit small families.
