Is Agrinio Worth Visiting?

Agrinio built its reputation on Greece's largest natural lake and a tobacco industry that shaped the city for a century, giving it a character few travelers expect from the interior of western Greece.

Agrinio is the largest city in the Aetolia-Acarnania region, built on a plain between Lake Trichonida, the country's largest natural lake, and the Acheloos river.
