Where Should I Stay on Pserimos?

Pserimos keeps the decision simple, since Avlakia is the island's only village and holds every room, apartment, and studio available.

Pserimos's Avlakia wraps around a long sandy bay, with a handful of tavernas, a small church, and simple guesthouses run directly by local families rather than large hotel chains. Nearly every stay sits within a few minutes of both the beach and the harbor, so the real decision comes down to which specific property to pick rather than which part of the village.

Since accommodation here is genuinely limited, well under a hundred rooms across the whole island, booking ahead matters more than almost anywhere else in the Dodecanese, and many properties still take reservations directly by phone rather than through major booking platforms.

Staying overnight rather than visiting on a day trip from Kos or Kalymnos changes the experience considerably, since the boats that fill the harbor by mid-morning clear out again by late afternoon, leaving the beach and village to the roughly 40 residents and the handful of guests staying the night.

Once a stay is arranged, hotels and places to stay on Pserimos cover what Avlakia has to offer, and reaching out well in advance of a summer visit gives the best chance at securing a room.

Pserimos has no direct ferry from the mainland, so travelers connect through Kalymnos or Kos, both a short crossing of around 25 minutes, and it's worth taking time to check ferry schedules and book tickets ahead of a visit. Avlakia suits every traveler, since it's the island's only option, and an overnight stay gives Pserimos's quiet a chance to settle in fully once the day boats leave.
