Getting from Aegina to Poros

If you are heading to Poros from Aegina you are making a straightforward hop to a neighbouring island in the Saronic Gulf. Poros sits just 200 metres from the Peloponnese mainland and the narrow channel between them creates one of the most charming harbour settings in Greece.

Take the ferry

There is a direct ferry from Aegina to Poros running daily during the high season, taking around 35 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes depending on the vessel and the route. From Poros you can continue island hopping to Hydra and Spetses, making it a natural next stop on a Saronic circuit.

Getting there by air

Poros has no airport. The ferry is the only option and the direct connection from Aegina makes it one of the most effortless hops in the Saronic Gulf.

Your best option

Take the direct ferry from Aegina to Poros. It runs daily in summer and the connection is straightforward. If you are travelling with a car, the conventional ferry takes your vehicle across. Check the schedule as the service runs once daily and timing matters.
