Getting from Agathonisi to Antiparos

If you are heading to Antiparos from Agathonisi you are making your way from the northern Dodecanese group to a small island in the Cyclades, just off the western coast of Paros. The two islands are on opposite sides of the Aegean and the journey requires going through Athens.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agathonisi to Antiparos. Antiparos is accessible only via Paros, either by a 10 minute local ferry from Pounta on the western coast of Paros or by a 30 minute passenger boat from Parikia. Getting to Paros from Agathonisi means taking the local ferry to Leros or Samos, flying to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which takes around 3 to 5 hours.

Getting there by air

Antiparos has no airport. The nearest airport is Paros, though no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. Flying from Agathonisi means taking the local ferry to Leros or Samos, flying to Athens and then taking the ferry from Piraeus to Paros, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta. Total travel time is around 7 to 8 hours.

Your best option

Take the local ferry from Agathonisi to Leros or Samos, fly to Athens and take the Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta. It is the most practical approach. Give yourself at least a full day of travel and build flexibility into your plans.
