Getting from Agistri to Patras

If you are heading to Patras from Agistri you are making your way from a small pine-covered island in the Saronic Gulf to the third largest city in Greece on the southern shore of the Gulf of Corinth, the main gateway to the Ionian islands and western Europe.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agistri to Patras. Getting there means taking the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and then traveling by road west to Patras, which takes around 2 to 2.5 hours from Athens via the E65 motorway.

Getting there by air

Patras has a small seasonal airport at Araxos, around 40 kilometres from the city, operating limited flights from May to October only. The most practical approach is to take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus and then take the KTEL bus or drive to Patras. Total journey time is around 4 to 5 hours.

Your best option

Take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus and take the KTEL bus or drive to Patras. The KTEL bus from Athens Kifissos terminal runs frequently and takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. If you are traveling with a car, the ferry from Agistri already puts you at Piraeus with your vehicle, then drive west to Patras via the E65 motorway.
