Getting from Andros to Corfu

If you are heading to Corfu from Andros you are making your way from the northernmost island in the Cyclades to the northwestern part of Greece, an island in the Ionian Sea with a UNESCO World Heritage Site town and a lush green coastline.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Andros to Corfu. The only mainland ferry connection to Corfu departs from Igoumenitsa. Getting there means taking the ferry from Andros to Rafina, which runs up to 11 times daily and takes around 1 to 2 hours, flying to Athens and then flying to Corfu, or driving northwest to Igoumenitsa for the short ferry from Igoumenitsa to Corfu taking around 1 hour 30 minutes.

Getting there by air

Corfu has an international airport with daily connections from Athens. Andros has no airport. Taking the ferry from Andros to Rafina, flying to Athens and then Athens to Corfu takes around 1 hour on the second leg. Total journey time is around 4 to 5 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the ferry from Andros to Rafina, fly to Athens and then fly to Corfu. It is the fastest and most practical approach. If you are traveling with a car, the ferry from Andros already puts you at Rafina with your vehicle, then drive northwest to Igoumenitsa for the ferry across to Corfu, which gives you a vehicle on the island for exploring the coastline and interior villages.
