Getting from Andros to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Andros you are making your way from the northernmost island in the Cyclades to the hub of the group, a natural progression south through the island chain. It has one of the most beautiful small harbour villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

Take the ferry

There is a direct ferry from Andros to Paros running several times daily in summer, operating south through Tinos and Mykonos before reaching Paros. The total crossing takes around 3 to 5 hours from Gavrio port on Andros. It is one of the most natural island hopping connections from Andros and keeps the journey entirely within the Cyclades.

Getting there by air

Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights operate there as of 2026. Andros has no airport either. The direct ferry south through the Cyclades is the only realistic option and is considerably more practical given the natural sea connection between the two islands.

Your best option

Take the direct ferry from Andros south through Tinos and Mykonos to Paros. It is the most natural and enjoyable connection and delivers you directly to Parikia port in the centre of the island. Book ahead in July and August as this is one of the most popular routes in the Cyclades. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional Blue Star ferry takes your vehicle directly to the island.
