Getting from Antikythera to Antiparos

If you are heading to Antiparos from Antikythera you are making your way from one of the most remote islands in Greece to a small island in the Cyclades, just off the western coast of Paros. It has a Venetian kastro village, good beaches and an atmosphere that rewards those who stay overnight rather than visiting on a day trip from Paros.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Antikythera to Antiparos. Antikythera's ferry connections are limited to Kythira, Piraeus, Kissamos in Crete and occasional ports on the southern Peloponnese. Antiparos is accessible only via Paros, either by a 7 minute local ferry from Pounta on the western coast of Paros running every 30 minutes in summer, or by passenger boat from Parikia taking around 30 minutes. Getting to Paros means taking the ferry from Antikythera to Piraeus and then boarding the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs multiple times daily in summer.

Getting there by air

Antiparos has no airport. The nearest airport is Paros, though no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. Antikythera has no airport, only a helipad. Taking the ferry from Antikythera to Kythira, flying to Athens and then taking the ferry from Piraeus to Paros, before crossing to Antiparos from Pounta, gives a total journey time of around 7 to 8 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the ferry from Antikythera to Kythira, fly to Athens and take the Piraeus to Paros ferry, then cross to Antiparos from Pounta. The Pounta to Antiparos ferry runs every 30 minutes in summer, takes 7 minutes and carries vehicles. If you are traveling with a car, take the overnight ferry from Antikythera to Piraeus and board the conventional Piraeus to Paros ferry, then drive across to Antiparos from Pounta.
