Getting from Antiparos to Alexandroupoli

If you are heading to Alexandroupoli from Antiparos you are making your way from a small quiet island in the Cyclades to the far northeastern corner of Greece, a city on the Thracian coast close to the Turkish border and the gateway to Samothrace.

Taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, making your way to Piraeus and flying to Alexandroupoli via Athens takes around 1 hour 10 minutes on the second leg. Total journey time is around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, make your way to Piraeus and fly to Alexandroupoli via Athens. It is the fastest and most practical approach. If you are planning to visit Samothrace from Alexandroupoli, ferries to the island depart daily in summer and take around 1 hour 45 minutes. If you are traveling with a car, take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros and drive northeast via the E75 and Egnatia motorway to Alexandroupoli.
