Getting from Antiparos to Tinos

If you are heading to Tinos from Antiparos you are making your way from a small quiet island in the Cyclades to an island in the central part of the group, a natural progression north through the island chain. It has the most venerated pilgrimage church in Greece and a tradition of extraordinary marble craftsmanship in its interior villages.

Take the ferry

There is a direct seasonal ferry from Antiparos to Tinos running in summer on the wider Blue Star and Seajets routes. The service runs a limited number of times per week and takes around 4 to 7 hours with stops along the way through Paros and Mykonos. The more practical approach is to take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, which takes 7 minutes from Pounta, and then board the Paros to Tinos ferry, which runs several times daily in summer and takes around 1.5 to 3 hours.

Getting there by air

Tinos has no airport. The nearest airport is Mykonos. Antiparos has no airport either. Taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros and continuing north through Mykonos to Tinos, or taking the ferry from Mykonos to Tinos which takes around 30 minutes, keeps the journey entirely within the Cyclades. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros and board the Paros to Tinos ferry. It is the most natural and direct connection and keeps the journey entirely within the Cyclades. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Paros takes your vehicle directly to Tinos Town port.
