Getting from Donoussa to Poros

If you are heading to Poros from Donoussa you are making your way from one of the Small Cyclades to a small island in the Saronic Gulf, on the opposite side of Greece. Poros has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Donoussa has no airport. The nearest airport is Naxos. Taking the ferry from Donoussa to Piraeus and then boarding the Saronic ferry to Poros gives a total journey time of around 9 to 10 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Take the ferry from Donoussa to Piraeus and board the Saronic ferry to Poros. Check the Donoussa to Piraeus departure days before planning as the service runs a limited number of times per week. If you are traveling with a car, take the ferry from Donoussa to Piraeus and drive to Galatas on the Peloponnese coast, then take the short local ferry across to Poros, which takes only a few minutes and runs constantly throughout the day.
