Getting from Paros to Andros

If you are heading to Andros from Paros you are making your way to the northernmost island in the Cyclades.

Take the ferry

There is a direct seasonal ferry from Paros to Andros running in summer, taking around 4 to 5 hours depending on the vessel and the stops along the way. The route is not year-round so check the schedule before planning around it. Outside of the summer season the connection goes via Rafina or Piraeus.

Getting there by air

Andros has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then a taxi or bus to Rafina takes around 30 minutes, followed by the ferry to Andros taking around 1 to 2 hours. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours.

Your best option

Take the direct summer ferry when it is running. If the direct service is not available for your dates, fly to Athens and take the ferry from Rafina, which is a short taxi or bus ride from the airport and has up to 11 daily departures to Andros.
