Getting from Telendos to Pserimos

If you are heading to Pserimos from Telendos you are making your way from a tiny car-free island off the western coast of Kalymnos to another tiny island wedged between Kos and Kalymnos in the same island group, just a short distance away. It has a single sandy beach, a handful of tavernas and accommodation that makes it worth staying overnight rather than just passing through on a day trip.

Take the ferry

The most natural connection from Telendos to Pserimos goes via Kalymnos. Getting there means taking the local boat from Telendos to Myrties on Kalymnos, which takes around 5 minutes and runs every 30 minutes throughout the day, and then making your way to Kalymnos port at Pothia for the local boat to Pserimos, which takes around 30 to 45 minutes. The two islands sit so close together within the same small cluster that the total journey from Telendos to Pserimos via Kalymnos takes only around 1 to 1.5 hours.

Getting there by air

Pserimos has no airport. The nearest airports are Kalymnos and Kos. Telendos has no airport. The nearest airports are also Kalymnos and Kos. Flying is not a practical option for this short within-island cluster connection given the direct local boat link via Kalymnos.

Your best option

Take the local boat from Telendos to Myrties and make your way to Kalymnos port at Pothia for the local boat across to Pserimos. It is the most natural and direct approach and keeps the journey entirely within the small island cluster around Kalymnos. Check local schedules on arrival as the Pserimos service is not bookable online in advance. If you want to stay overnight rather than day trip, the local ferry from Kalymnos is the more reliable connection.
